Calling all Moms! (And dads…)

I need some sleep!

Alright ladies. (And gentlemen) I need secrets, tricks, or even bribes that work. My child will not sleep anymore.

Some background:

- G started sleeping through the night at 4 weeks 10-12 hours. Down at 8, up between 6am and 8am (I know, I know. We were damn lucky)
- At 3 months, he started waking up between 5am and 6am (for the day)
- At 4 months, he started waking up around 3am.
- Two weeks ago he started waking up at 11pm, 1am and 3am
- Last week he started waking up at 4:30 for the day…

We’ve tried:

- putting him to sleep earlier
- leaving one arm out of the swaddle
- no swaddle
- overnight diapers

Thoughts, ideas, suggestions?

routine routine routine! start with a feed, a bath, 2 books, one song, put to bed.

as soon as he shows signs of being tired, put him in his crib (don’t wait until he is asleep)

since he is getting older, maybe try a gro-bag instead of the swaddle bag. he will still stay warm and covered, but he will be able to move.

give him a larger feeding before you want him to sleep

    Hope those things help!

OMG how cute is that pout face?! I love it!

Maybe its teething. We’ve been giving Milo Hyland’s Teething Tabs before bed.

O.M.G. I love, love, love that picture of G! I see Maddy’s bottom lip all too often.

Sending you a big hug my friend and hoping G gets the memo that sleep is good! For him AND mamma!!

He’s definitely old enough to self-soothe (Google it) and for you guys to sleep train him. We used the Ferber Method because we don’t believe in the more severe, Crying It Out and it worked wonders!!! YOU MUST COMMIT though and it will be a rough first week (maybe less) but he will get the hang of it.

Get yourself a video monitor so that you can SEE him, thus soothing yourself, when he cries and get him a sound machine to help muffle his cries so you two don’t go crazy!

Very best of luck and hang in there!

My daughter wakes up all the time if she’s too hot or too cold. Maybe it’s a temp thing?

    Or teething.
